We got to know Ulrike at the beautiful Namaste am See Festival am Wörthersee. We had a great shoot on the lake with Viktoria Ecker the founder of Doctor Yoga Vienna. http://www.doktoryoga.com

“A Thing of Beauty is a Joy Forever” – John Keats
A friend once dubbed her a ‘Beauty Hunter’ – and that describes Ulrike’s work very well. She seeks and finds the beauty in life, in the moment, in people and in things. Her eye and her passion is what makes her work. Ulrike takes a lot of time and gives the model space and all support to feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. Every person is unique, every moment and every mood and Ulrike captures them. The time with Ulrike is creative and playful. Just wonderful.
Ulrike about herself:
I was born and raised in Carinthia in the southern part of Austria. Like most Carinthians, I believed that this was the most beautiful place in the world. Nevertheless, I have decided to leave this little paradise for the city and to study the violin. These musical years were very nice, and after a while I felt ready to leave the orchestra and dance again in my own rhythm. So I set out to explore my biggest passion, photography. Two years photography studies in Vienna taught me a lot. About the photography, the people and myself.Nevertheless, I have decided to leave this little paradise for the city and to study the violin. These musical years were very nice, and after a while I felt ready to leave the orchestra and dance again in my own rhythm. So I set out to explore my biggest passion, photography. Two years photography studies in Vienna taught me a lot. About the photography, the people and myself. In my free time, I had a lot of fun portraying people. My first project, a violin maker! What else? A few years later, love brought me to Canada. I helped in a flower shop, practiced my yoga, and took pictures of my days. In 2007, I decided to deepen my yoga practice and became a Certified Yoga Teacher. After that, it does not take long for me to shift my photographic focus to yoga. A few years later I came to Bali. I became a mother and together with my son Nicco, I moved to the magical tropical island – a hotspot for yoga, beautiful landscapes and great people. Bali’s stunning nature, yoga community and amazing events and festivals have helped me sharpen my craft as a photographer and get to know Bali very well. When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me in the yoga barn or having a delicious coffee or dinner in one of Ubud’s incredible restaurants or cafes. </ Span>
